Review: Film: Sherlock Holmes
Well, well, well.. Here we have another film / movie review. This time three members of the Cinema Krew; Tom, Jamil and Josh went to see Sherlock Holmes in Cineworld, Cardiff. Upon arriving at Queen Street station, we directly walked to Cineworld where conveniently the film was about to begin, so we strolled up the three sets of stairs, right into screen 13 (unlucky, I think not!). After the Cinema we went to some wonderful technology shop and I made a purchase of a new webcamera. Enough of that, infact no, we also later went and ate a McDonalds (actually, it was nice, as usual).
So, the widely anticipated and rather well advertised film, Sherlock Holmes. The introduction or should I say first stages of the film were action packed, somthing to get your attention instantly made the start interesting and enjoyable. As the plot of the film progressed the special effects, fight scenes and language (good language, not much swearing) that were used were brilliant. The storyline (even though slightly wacky and un-real in reality terms) was thrilling and got your mind working. The whole method of you being able to see into the main character, Detective Holme’s thinking was excellent and we all thought this method of showing the action was cool. The film in 3D would have been nice, Warner Bros. should of thought of investing that bit more money to make the film that bit better.
The length of the film was fine, not too long and not too short. Also, space for a sequel was left, so that will be somthing to look for in the coming years (haha!). The only down point of the whole film was the talking point. Nothing was so awesome to get you really talking after the film or what the next sequel will be, I’m sure this couldn’t have been to hard to do. In conclusion the film was excellent. Acting was top-notch, effects were first class and the story was brill! Overall, the Cinema Krew give the film Sherlock Holmes a rating of 9/10.
